Getting to Northwich is easy as the town is perfectly placed in the heart of Cheshire with great transport links. Main motorways are a short drive from the town and two major train lines are close to Northwich town centre.

Both Manchester and Liverpool airports are less than an hours drive from Northwich too and if you’re visiting by water the town has its very own quay!

By Car

If you’re travelling to Northwich by car, the town is easy to find whatever direction you’re coming from. If you’re travelling to Northwich along the M6, leave the motorway at Junction 15 Knutsford and follow signs for Northwich. From the M56, leave the motorway at Junction 10 Stockton Heath Interchange and head south through Antrobus. There is plenty of free and Pay & Display parking in the town. By Train

Northwich is served by its very own station that sits on the Mid Cheshire Line. The line runs from Manchester to Chester and stops at major towns such as Altrincham, Knutsford and Stockport. It is around a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Northwich. From the station, simply follow Station Road up to the roundabout and turn left into town. A couple of miles outside of Northwich sits Hartford Station. This is on the West Coast Mainline and connects Liverpool with Crewe and Birmingham. It is around a 45 minute walk from Northwich Town Centre.

By Bus

By Water

If you’re travelling by water you can stop at Northwich Quay which is situated between Town Bridge and Hayhurst Bridge. From here you can also access the visitor mooring at the Anderton Boat Lift which is a short journey down river.
