With Halloween just around the corner, now is the perfect time to decorate your home, decide on an outfit and plan some spooky activities. There’s a lot going on in and around Northwich so keep reading to find out about the best events and get ready for Halloween in Northwich.

Pick up a Pumpkin

Tatton Park

26th & 27th October from 10:45am

Prepare to get your hands dirty at the farm at Tatton Park and pick out your perfect pumpkin fresh from the field. Take it home and carve out a spooky face ready for Halloween. After you’ve got your pumpkin, head to Clydesdale Barn for a refreshing pumpkin juice and a yummy pumpkin muffin and learn how to create a warming pumpkin soup.

Tickets cost £12 (includes park and farm entry).

Collect a costume

Barons Quay

Head to Barons Quay in the lead up to Halloween to find the perfect outfit for trick-or-treating or a party. Whether you nip to Asda or browse the rails in H&M, you’re sure to find an outfit spooky enough for all the family.

The Wow Shop

As well as amazing balloon decorations, The Wow Shop also has a whole section dedicated to fancy-dress. It includes a wall of wigs, dressing-up makeup, costumes and accessories. If you’ve got an idea in mind or you need inspiration, you’ll get the help you need here in order to find the right outfit for you.

Matalan

If you’re looking to kit out the whole family for Halloween, Matalan has you covered. They have outfits for babies as well as creepy costumes for the more mature. Their prices are affordable and they have a great range to choose from.

Attend a spooky event

Zombie Pirate Treasure Trail at Blakemere Village

19th October – 3rd November daily from 10am – 4pm

Head to Blakemere Village this Halloween and embark on their spooky trail to find the hidden items left there by the Zombie Pirates many years ago. Family fun is encouraged so dress up as a pirate or in your scariest outfit. There will be prizes for completed trail maps which you can purchase from the Visitor Information Centre for £3 per child. The trail is suitable for children aged 3-11 years.

The Salty Dog Spooktacular

27th Ocotber at 8pm

Following on from last year’s popular Halloween event at The Salty Dog, they are back this year with another Spooktacular! Head to The Salty Dog in your scariest fancy dress outfit to enjoy a night filled with Halloween games, drink promotions, competitions and even live bands!

Tickets cost £5 in advance and £7 on the door.

Creepy crafts at Weaver Hall

29th October at 2pm-4pm

Visit Weaver Hall for a fun afternoon filled with Halloween crafts and stories. It’s the perfect afternoon for all the family to get you in the mood for Halloween. It is a drop-in session so just turn up, pay the £2 fee and enjoy a creative afternoon.

Pop-up cards to take home

30th October at 10am-4pm

Get in the spirit of Halloween by making and sending your own spooky greetings cards. Weaver Hall is hosting a drop-in session where visitors are welcome to make their own scary cards to take home.

The session costs £2.

Trick or treat

Northwich town centre

Have a walk down our great High Street and discover the many shops and businesses selling Spooky Halloween treats. You will be able to purchase sweets for the trick-or-treaters and perhaps some ghoulish tricks too!

Make sure you stay safe whilst trick-or-treating by only going to well-lit areas/houses and plan a route in advance.
