The Northwich Business Improvement District (BID) is calling on more businesses and consumers to take part in the new community campaign that’s recently been launched.

They’re looking for retailers and people from the area to post photos or videos to show how the Northwich community has united since the start of the Coronavirus outbreak, whether it be businesses adapting their services or consumers changing their buying habits to shop and support local.

It all feeds in to #NorthwichTogether which showcases the ways in which businesses are meeting their customers’ demands and how consumers are enjoying what they’ve been purchasing from their local high street.

Since launching over the Bank Holiday weekend earlier in May, the pictures and comments have been flooding in via the Visit Northwich Facebook page.

One poster commented: “Started cross-stitch from Crafty Stitches, the lovely wool shop in town, with great support from Louise.” While another said of Northwich Tandoori: “The delivery arrived exactly on time and the food was the usual high quality. The website is extremely user friendly.”

Northwich BID Manager Jane Hough has been delighted with the response to the campaign so far but has urged more businesses and consumers to get involved.

“It’s been great to see so many positive comments on Facebook about our businesses,” said Jane. “I feel like we’re only getting started though so please take some time to visit the campaign landing page on the Visit Northwich website and let us know which businesses you have been using over recent weeks.”

The campaign has also been created to give a platform to businesses who haven’t been able to stay open and for them to deliver messages to a wider audience about how they miss seeing familiar faces and can’t wait to open.

House of Quirk is one of those businesses and they submitted content to #NorthwichTogether saying: “We’re missing you, missing the high street, the hustle and bustle and all the independents.

“We’re missing our team too and our clients who are sticking with us through all this, but we’re looking forward to seeing you all again and getting Northwich looking trim and proper once more.”
